We’ve changed a lot. I began the project as a way to try to create a national network of Pagans who would be on-call, so to speak, to share at the national level stories related to religious freedom and to organize their local communities around the protection of these freedoms as necessary. While I was successful in finding a lot of volunteers, exactly what those volunteers were going to be doing was a little vague. Well, it was a lot vague.
So, Hail Columbia became more of a news source for Lit and I to use as a vehicle for information sharing. And, more recently, our affiliation with the Pagan Newswire Collective puts the information we share on our site in front of many others within the PNC and with in their readership.
If you would like to write with us, know that it’s a volunteer gig. You can join up and head out when you want or need to. And, unfortunately, there’s no compensation for your work and time. With that up front, if you’d like to share your thoughts on religious freedom, the intersection of religion and politics, and perhaps on politics in general, then we’d like to speak with you further.
If you’re interested, fill out the form below and we’ll get in touch! With respect to the writing samples field, we’d like to see some of your writing if you have any to share with us. This is not required and we’re not opposed to people with limited blogging experience coming on board with us. If you have writing samples to share, give us a few, but if you don’t, just leave it blank.
